about

Recorded live and improvised at Unlimited Space May 3, 2019

trío telfær's newest album "New Albuh" is an ambitious effort and departure from previous releases. The biggest difference is the lack of creative song titles; "We wanted to break away from the habits we fall into, so we made a concentrated effort to not name our songs for this album" says Hoch. It's a strange decision for a band that has made their name dropping a glut of clever, confusing and ultimately dumb song titles in the past.
The other change that may go unnoticed is the timing, the band has NEVER released an album in the month of August (which is mind-boggling considering their 20+ releases), and they are happy to finally join the club. Newest member Gregery Rowe explains "it's the first album we've released in the month of August, and we're happy to join the club!"
Whatever the names may be, whatever the month may be - this album is, in my opinion, an instant classic amongst the vast trío telfær catalog. They've been more prolific in 2019 than any of the last 5 years (they released 3 albums in 2014 and 9 [NINE!!!] in 2013) and I don't see any signs of slowing down! Happy listening folks!
